Cannenburch Castle
Experience the splendour of a nobleman’s house set in an elegant park.
Cannenburch Castle is a richly decorated nobleman’s residence. Field Marshall Marten van Rossem constructed the castle on the site of the ruins of a medieval fortress.
The castle, the entrance building, and the park can be visited individually with the help of a Dutch or English audio tour or app. Former residents will take you on a journey back in time to the 18th century. Guided tours in English can be arranged by appointment. Children will be fascinated by paintings that come to life, and will find an intriguing attic in the castle.
In the castle gift shop you will find a wide range of quality gifts. For a drink or a snack visit the vaulted cellar in the castle, or the adjacent Restaurant ’t Koetshuis.
For groups, tours are available year-round upon prior request.
For those who would like to combine a visit to the castle with a bike ride, we recommend the cycling routes below.
